An innovative approach to language software for aphasia
The mission of Psycholinguistic Technologies, Inc., is to develop and commercialize software for individuals with aphasia and other language disorders utilizing our expertise (and the expertise of our academic partners) in two areas:
Marcia C. Linebarger, Ph.D.
Dr. Linebarger, who invented SentenceShaper™, received a PhD in Linguistics
from MIT and carried out postdoctoral research in neurolinguistics at the
University of Pennsylvania. Her research has focused upon two related
areas: syntactic processing in aphasia, and the development of natural
language processing technology and other kinds of software that may assist

Deborah A. Dahl, Ph.D.
Dr. Dahl received a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Minnesota
and did postgraduate work in Cognitive Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
She has over two decades of experience developing and integrating natural
language understanding and speech recognition technologies, as well as
the development of software products based on these technologies. Dr.
Dahl, who serves as Director of Conversational Technologies, Inc., participates
in standardization activities for speech technology which are currently
being developed by the World Wide Web Consortium. For more information,

Chuck Dillon
Chuck Dillon is a graduate and a professor at the Hussian School of Art
in Philadelphia. He has served as a freelance illustrator for the Philadelphia
Zoo and Highlights Magazine for Children.
Rosana Hart, M.L.S.
Rosana Hart is a librarian, writer, and webmaster. She received a B.A.
in Anthropology from Stanford University and a Master's of Library Science
from the University of California at Berkeley. She maintains the SentenceShaper website, edits its manuals, and works on product development. Her other
sites are on a variety of topics.
