An innovative approach to language software for aphasia
We offer SentenceShaper as a free download so you can try out the software before deciding if it is right for your needs. After installing SentenceShaper, you can use it 30 times for free; the only limitations are that you can only create one "user," and that the program expires after you have used it 30 times. When you decide to purchase the program, all you have to do is pay for the computer program and activate it. You won't have to download it again; the version you have will come back to life.
Downloading and setting up the SentenceShaper software program in three simple steps
DOWNLOAD:
First, please note:
- SentenceShaper requires a screen size of 1024 x 768 pixels. It will NOT run on a smaller resolution, which means there are a lot of old computers out there that it won't run on.
- It is a Windows-only program. See our page of computer requirements for more details.
- Before you download the program, download a copy of the QuickStart Guide or SentenceShaper Manual so you'll know what to do next. Links for these PDF files are further down this page. The program is unusual enough that you will need more information for it to make sense!
Pass those hurdles okay? To download SentenceShaper, jut fill out this form and you'll get it right away.
INSTALL:
Once you have that file, you can install it on the computer you downloaded it to, or you can put it on a CD or other portable medium and install on another computer. We expect that some of the aphasia survivors may not have regular internet access, and this is one way to get the program to them.

Then, to install the program, locate the file that you have downloaded (the file will be named "sentenceshapersetup.exe") and double click on it to start the installation. As with any Windows program, it is recommended to close other programs before installation.
USE, PURCHASE, AND ACTIVATE:
The final step is to purchase an activation number (you can try SentenceShaper out in demo mode first if you wish) and activate the program. See our payment page and the activation page.
Downloading the Quick Start Guide, the SentenceShaper Manual, and the Research Report
You can also download three documents we offer in PDF format. They are available at no cost to you, and they require the free Adobe Acrobat reader, available from adobe.com but probably already on your computer.
To download these files, right-click on the centered links below and then choose "Save target as..." Put the file in a place on your computer that you will remember.
The Quick Start Guide is what you want to use right after you have downloaded the program and are ready to try it out. It is by far the easiest way to learn the software. Even if you are used to just playing around with software, this program is non-standard in many ways. We have also put the SentenceShaper Quick Start Guide here on this site as regular webpages (html).
